After West Side Family Place was created in 1973, many Family Place programs emerged across the Lower Mainland during the 1970s and 1980s. Many of them banded together to develop a provincial voice to better help young families and the wider community.

We’re proud to say that in 1989, the Family Place Association of BC became an incorporated society with 33 members operating out of West Side Family Place. This non-profit organization is now known as the Family Resource Programs of British Columbia, and its goal is to provide an inclusive space for parents and children to engage and connect. It helps you, by helping us provide valuable services for you and your young family.

You can learn more about this important organization via the Family Resource Programs of BC profile.
