“Play and Learn” Drop-In

***PLEASE REFER TO OUR SUMMER PROGRAMS***

In our playroom, we have a variety of creative and educational toys, a play kitchen, dress-up clothes, a reading corner, and an area for crafts, drawing, play dough, painting, and more! Upstairs, we have a kitchen and dining area for snack time, and a living room for relaxed gatherings. In addition we have a fenced outdoor play area with a playground, sandbox, water table, and riding toys.

“Play and Learn” Drop-In Hours:

Morning Drop-In:
Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 12pm (Circle Time at 11:30am)
*Closed the last Friday of each month*

Afternoon Drop-In:
Wednesday: 1:00 pm to 4:30pm
(Circle Time at around 2:30pm – subject to change)

The 1st visit is free and thereafter the drop-in fee is $2 per family per visit with an annual membership. Pre-paid Drop-In tickets can be purchased in bulk for your convenience.

Our Drop-In program provides opportunities for families with young children to meet new friends and gain a sense of community. Healthy relationships and connections with children are achieved through play interactions. Please put away cell phones while participating in the program and only use for emergencies.

*Please advise that we have a “No Outdoor Shoes” policy and appreciate everyone’s cooperation in taking their shoes off at the door. Slippers and socks are welcome!*


Orff on the Go – Vancouver Academy of Music Outreach – All Ages

Orff approach to music is holistic, experiential and process oriented. The method encourages group music-making with a focus on singing, playing a wide variety of percussion instruments including xylophones, glockenspiels and metallophones, and doing movement and dance.

**This is part of the Drop-In program in the living room upstairs. Registration is required on the day of class, first come, first served. Maximum number of children is 11.**

Date: Every Wednesday starting from October 23rd until June 10 (no classes on March 18th & 25th)
Time: 9:45am to 10:15am
Cost:
$2 Drop-In fee per family


Vancouver Coastal Health Nurse Visits

Natasha Kainth, Public Health Nurse, comes for visits to Family Place every first Tuesday of the month. She is here to answer parents’ and caregivers’ questions about their children’s health and well-being.

Date: Every first Tuesday of the month
Time: During the Drop-In from 10:30 to 11:30 am
