East Side Family Place

Support and resource drop-in for parents/caregivers and their young children from birth to six years of age. Provides direct support, referrals, parenting groups and workshops, resource listings, developmentally stimulating play opportunities, and a space for parents and caregivers to connect with each other.

Kitsilano Neighbourhood House

Provides a wide range of services and programs including information and referral services, health and wellness programs, and educational workshops; serves children, youth, families, newcomers, and seniors. Offers various child care programs including daycare (part-time and full-time), and before- and after-school care. Family programs include Parent-Child Mother Goose and parent/caregiver and tot drop-in, as well as specialized programs for newcomer families.

Marpole Oakridge Family Place

Drop-in centre for parents, caregivers, and their children from birth to age six. Provides information and referral, parent education, book, video and toy libraries, and space for socializing and networking. Offers parenting programs, including Mother Goose, Nobody’s Perfect in English and Cantonese/Mandarin, STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting), Play and Learn Program and Dad and Me Program.

Mount Pleasant Family Centre Society

Runs a family drop-in for parents, grandparents, and caregivers with infants, toddlers, and children up to six years old. Provides visits from a community health nurse, school readiness programming, and outdoor play time. Offers parenting and health workshops, individual and family support, and referrals to other community resources.

South Vancouver Family Place

South Vancouver Family Place is a non-profit, charitable organization which offers programs and services at various locations throughout South Vancouver. They provide support for families and caregivers with young children and are committed to fostering a healthy family and community life.

West Coast Child Care Resource Centre

The West Coast Child Care Resource Centre provides parents and guardians with tools and resources to help find quality child care in Vancouver. From a list of child care providers to help navigating provincial subsidy applications, to resources and articles on parenting as well as some of the other services and workshops delivered to families and early childhood educators.

BC Centre for Ability

The BC Centre for Ability provides community-based services to enhance the quality of life for children, youth with special needs and adults with disabilities, and their families in ways that foster inclusion in all aspects of life.

Family Services of Greater Vancouver

Founded in 1928, Family Services of Greater Vancouver supports thousands of families and individuals across the Lower Mainland living in need, in crisis, or with trauma. They have over fifty programs, services, workshops, and groups to help people build resiliency, develop skills and knowledge, and gain the confidence to make positive changes in their lives.

BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre

A provincial facility delivering a wide range of health services to women, newborns, and families. Provides province-wide tertiary services for women, as well as primary and secondary services for women and families on the lower mainland. An agency of PHSA, and a UBC, SFU, and Women’s Health Research Institute affiliate.

Pacific Postpartum Support Society

Pacific Post-Partum Support Society has been supporting mothers and their families experiencing postpartum distress, depression and anxiety since 1971. Developed as a grass roots initiative, a small group of women began meeting at the Vancouver Crisis Line office to share their experiences and support each other around postpartum issues. This established the pattern for their treatment model: mothers supporting mothers.
