Sponsorship Case Studies

A Private Family Contribution

We are extremely grateful for the support provided to us by a local family via their Foundation. To date, they have sponsored important individual programs ensuring the inclusion of specific community groups who do not typically come to local play groups. For example, the Papa’s Playground program.

This family shares our values of supporting young families in the community and promoting healthy child development for the benefit of the larger community.

COVID Emergency Response Fund

Vancity and the United Way recognized the important front-line role that West Side Family Place plays in the community and allowed us to go above and beyond for our families as the pandemic evolved.

With this grant, we were able to adapt our safety protocols to continue to provide programs at the WSFP house, as well as employ staff to reach out to young families ensuring their well-being during this time of increased isolation.

Nuba

This local business saved the day and provided additional space for us to host much-needed parent and baby groups. Many new parents felt isolated in adapting to their new life during the pandemic when many local family resources were closed down.

We are extremely grateful to the owners of Nuba who rose to the challenge and helped the community at this critical time. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from mothers and fathers who participated in our programs at Nuba.
