Back in the 2000s, West Side Family Place ran an outreach program on the Jericho Military Base to help fulfill the needs of local families. It was very popular, demonstrating the importance of having drop-ins and access to family resources in all of our neighbourhoods. As Jean Woodcock, former Executive Director of Mount Pleasant Family Place, said: “We need a Family Place in every neighbourhood, much like a corner shop.”
